The
Black Canyon Bowmen club sponsors two major archery events each
year. The 3-D Freezeout Hill shot held in March and the
Mountain Shoot at Herrick Reservoir held Memorial Day weekend.
The Club also supports the Idaho
Sate Bowhunters (ISB) annual Jamboree and co-sponsors the
Children's Miracle Network (CMN) Archery Challenge to raise funds
for young cancer patients at Saint Luke's Hospital in Boise
Members also participate in an
annual clean up of Joe's Creek Trail on the Boise National
Forest. The Summer of 2000 marked the 11th year the club has
undertaken this project, it normally takes place in July and has
evolved into an overnight campout and cookout.
Providing financial support to local
community projects is a mainstay of the club and one that instills a
strong feeling of gratification in the membership.
Black Canyon is hosting our annual Banquet Saturday Jan 26, 08. We would love to see you all out. There will be a wild game pot luck. We will be presenting awards and also having a live auction for used targets and other goodies. There will be a photo contest so bring your best pictures.
