I spent this last weekend in the owyhees hunting antelope with my bow. This is my first attempt at whacking a speed goat. Pretty challenging. I'm not sure what is harder, having the patients to sit in the blind for more than a few hours or the spot and stalk. We had more success stalking but they sure are hard to put the sneak on. Got to within 70 yards of a few but couldn't get them any closer before we got busted. A lot of fun though. Got to feel the rush for the first time this year. Hope all your guys adventures have been successful ones. Good luck and happy hunting...

Was up that way on the 19th scouting for deer for archery. Checked my water hole and ran 10 pronghorn out. I will be out Sunday ready and willing waiting on deer.

Been deer hunting. Seen 7 deer got to 51 yards on 3 and 30 yards on 3 others. Still no meat but have had a great time thus far.

Hunting buddy had a rough opening day with me. He flung 3 arrows and was ELK 0-1 and Mulie Bucks 0-2. He is a dang good shot and got hyped up for some reason.... :-)

Had several bulls going this week. Then for the 1st time had wolves move in on me and shut them up. Did call in a 2x2 bull for my wife and she nailed him. No shot opportunities for me yet.

Scott, Not much for Big Game unless it is the "Any Weapon" season. During those seasons which are usually referred to as the "Rifle" season the stamp is not required. Any general Archery season must have the class and stamp. I think I saw that you were new to the area, so it is 6 mo. to get in-state residency. So any big game hunting at this point would require buying non-resident tags. Most hunts for this year are winding down. I think you can hunt Coyotes and Rabbits, things like that without the class.
